Last week, the Super Bowl winner had dinner with former Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, Steelers GM Omar Khan, and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth in Tuscaloosa, according to Tom Pelissero.

The meeting, on March 18, happened as Aaron Rodgers’ future is still to be ironed out – with the Steelers said to be in the running to sign him.

Rodgers was let go by the NY Jets, following two disappointing seasons, including one missed with an achilles tendon tear.

The Steelers, NY Giants, and Minnesota Vikings were all in the race for Rodgers.

However, recent reports suggest the Vikings are intending to 2024 rookie JJ McCarthy who missed out last season through injury,

Sam Darnold switched to Seattle Seahawks, while Daniel Jones is trying to force his way into the Indianapolis Colts’ team.

That could mean McCarthy would be the Vikings’ first choice quarterback next season.

For Rodgers part, he has insisted that he is in no rush to strike a deal with any team.

However, Tomlin’s meeting with Milroe could spell the end of Pittsburgh’s interest in Rodgers.

Milroe completed 205 of 309 attempts for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide last season.

In 2023, he completed 187 of 284 attempts for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns.

In his past two campaigns, he rushed to 12 in 2023 and 20 in 2024.

At the beginning of the season, the Steelers were blessed with two quarterbacks – Justin Fields and veteran Russell Wilson.

However, Wilson is now a free agent, although a Pittsburgh reunion hasn’t been ruled out either.
