A driver who parked outside his neighbour’s property for three years, despite there being a “no parking” sign in place, has had their car towed.
A video posted on the Everything Autos YouTube channel shows the 2014 Kia being removed from the property.
The footage shows a man attaching the car to a tow truck, in front of a sign that reads “no parking”.
A woman, explaining what is going on, can be heard saying: “There’s a ‘no parking’ sign right there”.
She then turns the camera leftward to reveal the car, saying simply: “There’s the car. The property owner has asked us to remove [it], so that’s what we’re doing.”
The clip, posted by the US towing firm Everything Autos, has been viewed more than 78,000 times in just a matter of days.
An impassioned phone call could be heard during the video between Everything Autos staff and the Kia owner.
During the conversation the tow truck driver confirms that he had collected the car that was “parked on the neighbour’s property”.
In response the driver said: “That’s my house there, I do live there, and also I do not have a parking space to put it.
“I’ve been living here for three years.”
The tow truck driver then hits back: “The property owner has said that we needed to remove the stuff, they don’t want anybody parking on their property anymore.
“They even put up a sign and you guys parked right in front of the sign.”
Not giving up without a fight, the Kia owner says: “Yeah, because I’ve got no space right now. I have one more car. Where should I park it? My car, it doesn’t fit in the garage because it’s too long.”
The tow truck driver advises him to park it in a nearby lot.
