Cooperation Protocol Between Diyarbakır Cinema Office and Eğil Municipality
A significant cooperation protocol aiming to promote the historical and natural beauties of Eğil in national and international areas was signed between Diyarbakır Cinema Office and Eğil Municipality. The protocol aims to turn Eğil into an open-air cinema plateau and introduce it to the cinema sector. With the implementation of the project, Eğil will become the new favorite of film and series producers.
Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony, Eğil Mayor Fırat Seydaoğlu stated that introducing Eğil’s unique historical heritage and natural beauties to the world through cinema will make a great contribution to the district. Seydaoğlu said, “Thanks to this cooperation, we will both strengthen the promotion of our district and bring the cinema sector and our people together. Eğil is ready to meet the fascinating world of cinema.”
Diyarbakır Cinema Office Coordinator Feyzi Baran shared the details of the process and said, “Eğil has great potential for the cinema sector with its natural plateau and historical texture. This protocol will be a development step for the local cinema sector and will allow Eğil to become an international cinema center. Many things are planned for cinema in Eğil with shootings, festivals and educational programs.”
It is aimed to turn this historical district into an open-air cinema plateau by determining suitable locations for movies, series scenes and documentary projects in Eğil. In addition, cinema workshops, open-air film screenings and festivals will be organized for the local people and contribute to the cultural life of the region.
The protocol is considered as an important step that will add great value to both the promotion of Eğil and the cinema sector and will ensure that the district takes its rightful place in the international arena.
