51-year-old New Jersey man convicted of sexually assaulting elderly woman for years

A 51-year-old New Jersey man has been convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting an elderly woman for more than four years.

Earlier this week, a jury convicted Adam Natal, of Pine Hill, of victimizing the unidentified woman from November 2017 through March 2022, “when evidence was brought to the Pine Police Department,” Camden County prosecutors said Friday.

“The crimes occurred at the defendant’s Pine Hill, N.J. home,” prosecutors said. That’s where Natal was arrested on March 14, 2022.

The victim, now 75, testified against her assailant at trial. Her relationship to the defendant is not clear.

Natal was convicted of 56 counts of second-degree sexual assault, one count of third-degree aggravated assault, one count of third-degree aggravated assault on a victim of domestic violence, two counts of third-degree invasion of privacy, one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of third-degree witness tampering, prosecutors said.

It’s unclear how a child was involved in the situation.

Natal is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2025.
