BRAD Arnold has revealed his brave cancer battle in an emotional video while thanking his “warrior” fans.

The lead singer of 3 Doors Down also apologized as the advanced disease has forced the band to cancel its upcoming tour, leaving thousands devastated.

Arnold has been diagnosed with clear cell renal carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer.

In an Instagram video released on Wednesday, he said the cancer has metastasized to his lungs and is a stage 4 diagnosis.

“Hi everybody, it’s Brad, from 3 Doors Down,” he began.

“I hope you’re having a great day today. Um, got some not so good news for you today.

“(I was) sick a couple of weeks ago and then I went to the hospital and got checked out; actually got the diagnosis that I had a clear cell renal cell carcinoma that had metastasized into my lungs.

The singer added, “But you know what, we serve a mighty God, and he can overcome anything.”

“So I have no fear; I really sincerely am not scared of it at all,” he said.

He also apologized to fans, saying, “But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer and we’re sorry for that.”

The band’s website has been updated to show the message “no upcoming events.”

The musicians had been due to perform at multiple venues, including Daytona International Speedway this month in Florida, and the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, New Jersey, in July, followed by a gig at the White River Amphitheatre, Washington, in August.

Arnold also issued a special plea, “I’d love for you to lift me up in prayer any chance you get.”

He ended his brave message by saying his band’s song It’s Not My Time would serve as his own personal anthem.

“It’s time for me to listen to ‘It’s Not My Time a little bit, right? Thank you guys so much.

“God loves you, we love you. See ya.”

Arnold also wrote in a poignant caption, “Thank you for all the memories so far.

“Now, I believe ‘ITS NOT MY TIME’ is really my song.

“This’ll be a battle so we need our prayers warriors!

“Thank y’all for being the best fans in the world. We love y’all!”

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

The cancer affects how the kidney filters waste from the blood, and treatment usually consists of surgery, sometimes paired with other treatments.

FANS’ PRAYERS

Fans replied with words of love and encouragement to the beloved singer.

One man wrote, “If anyone has the FAITH and STRENGTH to face this fight, it’s YOU brother. You and your family are in my prayers daily.”

Another wrote, “Sending all my love brother. You got this.”

And one fan shared details of a similar cancer battle, “Hey Brad – I have been living with Stage IV Clear Cell RCC for 8 years now.

“Originally diagnosed Stage III 15 years ago.

“Many treatment options but make sure you’re seeing a specialist. Happy to share my story. Praying for you!”

A female fan added, “Sending prayers. I’m a stage 4 lung cancer survivor since 2017.”

And another supporter wrote on the band’s Facebook page, “I admire your optimism and strength. 3 Doors Down was a huge part of my childhood.”

BLESSING

Back in 2021, when 3 Doors Down celebrated its 20th anniversary, Arnold said he felt “incredibly blessed.”

He told All About The Rock, “You know what man, I feel incredibly blessed to still be on Earth really, to still be able to do this and to still be kicking after 20 years, it’s unbelievable to me.”

The singer also praised the band’s fans, “One thing that I am pretty proud of is… that our fans are more like a 3 Doors Down family.

“I love… when a parent can bring their kid to our show and they’re both jamming, that’s a special moment between father and son or mother and daughter.”
